Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Papa John (ranked 4846 p4p, 185 weight class) and Kassim Suluhu (ranked 4592 p4p, 177 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Papa John!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kassim Suluhu!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Reed Andrews and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Suluhu keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
John attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

Suluhu shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Suluhu showed some decent athleticism there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Suluhu prevents John from improving his position.
John wants to control but Suluhu is keeping busy.

Let's hope that Suluhu has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

John fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Suluhu looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Kassim Suluhu showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
