The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Liddell wants to clinch.
Kontrec throws a counter combo.
Liddell fails in his attempt to clinch.
Liddell tries to sprawl but Kontrec drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Liddell is trying to control but can't.
Kontrec wants to take a breather but Liddell is having none of it.
Kontrec is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
