Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Levi Biddings (ranked 23711 p4p, 606 weight class) and Candy Van (ranked 3450 p4p, 368 weight class). Candy Van is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Levi Biddings!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Candy Van!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Phil Schofield and Colin Fotheringham.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Biddings smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Biddings ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Van moves away.
Levi Biddings seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Van drives through with a takedown into Biddings's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Biddings managing to control the position.

Biddings working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Van doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Van manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Biddings has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Van drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Van jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Van stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Biddings swivels though and keeps the full guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Biddings holds on and takes a little breather.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Van wants to pass the guard but Biddings is keeping the position.

Van drops back looking for a leg! Biddings is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Biddings manages to kick Van off! Van jumps back into Biddings's guard.
Biddings is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Biddings is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Van is aware though and is defending well.
Van wants to control from the top but Biddings keeps moving.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Van fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Biddings sprawls well initially but Van persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Van is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Biddings throws his legs up looking for a submission but Van uses it to pass to side control.

Van tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Van has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Biddings is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Van pulls his head out easily.

Van is working for a kimura but Biddings is defending it quite comfortably.

Van thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Biddings is looking for a triangle but Van pushes his legs off easily.

Biddings has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Van is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Biddings.
Biddings is trying to control Van's posture but Van avoids it.

Van is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Biddings is trying to escape and Van transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Biddings is forced to tap! Nice work there by Van! Very nice indeed!
