EMP Grappling 10 PBP Commentary


Coming up we have a welterweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Police Officer (ranked 7631 p4p, 560 weight class) and Brick Tamland (ranked 4367 p4p, 437 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Brick Tamland was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the welterweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 18 wins and 6 losses; Police Officer! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 31 wins and 12 losses; Brick Tamland!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Jorge Garcia and David Schapiro.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Officer feints and as Tamland raises his hands in defense, Officer changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Tamland escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Officer gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Tamland can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Officer controls the pace.
Officer is pushing down on Tamland's leg trying to pass to half guard. Tamland is fighting to maintain full guard but Officer has managed to sneak the leg through.
Tamland is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Officer's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Officer's back!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tamland stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Officer swivels though and keeps the full guard.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Officer holds on and takes a little breather.

Tamland wants to control from the top but Officer keeps moving.

Police Officer really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Humanoid Nutrition (160Q for 180$) logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
