The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peters on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Degrassop . Degrassop obviously looking to wear him down.
Trump Degrassop seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Degrassop moves into range and clinches up with Peters.
Peters putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Degrassop in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.

Peters tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Degrassop just stands there and leans against the cage.

Degrassop lands a left hand that snaps the head of Peters backwards.
Degrassop tries to throw a body punch but Peters avoids it by throwing Degrassop back against the cage.

Peters has picked Degrassop up - he's going for a ride! Peters dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Peters seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
