Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Erran Morad (ranked 2256 p4p, 100 weight class) and Minkki Jakku (ranked 3000 p4p, 133 weight class). Erran Morad had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Erran Morad!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Minkki Jakku!
The judges for this bout are Topper Green, Winston Howard and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morad misses with a body shot.
Morad lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Morad just misses with a punch to the body.
Jakku takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Jakku looks for a takedown but Morad sprawls well.
Morad has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Morad fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Jakku looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Jakku throws a sloppy head kick and Morad moves out of range easily.
Jakku dives in and grabs Morad's left leg, looking for a takedown. Morad pushes down on Jakku's head and hops out.
Erran Morad seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jakku scores with a one two! Morad had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Jakku gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Jakku shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Morad's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jakku trying to control but Morad is working from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Morad pulls Jakku in close to his closed guard and prevents Jakku from doing any damage or advancing position.
Jakku is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Jakku wants to control from the top but Morad keeps moving.
Jakku throwing strikes from guard but Morad blocks nicely.
Jakku advances to half guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Jakku is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Morad!
Morad is trying desperately to improve position.
Jakku throws some wild stikes that Morad manages to avoid easily.
Jakku has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Morad is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Jakku goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Morad is on top in guard.
Morad is looking to stand up but Jakku won't let him.
Jakku looking to hit a scissor sweep but Morad is one step ahead there.

Jakku trying to control the position.

Jakku working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Morad has passed into half guard!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Jakku is trying to get back to full guard.
Morad trying to pass the guard but Jakku defending well.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Morad decides to stand up.
Morad throws out a loose jab but Jakku uses good head movement to avoid it.
Jakku walks into a straight right hand from Morad.
Jakku chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Morad can pounce on him.
Morad lands a nice leg kick that just misses Jakku's sensitive parts.
Jakku drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Jakku misses with a body kick.
Jakku closes the distance and clinches up with Morad, looking for a takedown. Jakku pushes Morad against the cage but Morad circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Erran Morad has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Minkki Jakku.
Morad keeps the fight on the outside.
Morad scores with a nice right hand.
Morad is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Morad scores with a hook to the body. Jakku takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Morad throws a shot from downtown. Jakku moves away and avoids it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Erran Morad dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Jakku is trying hard to land a takedown here. Morad sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Morad throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Jakku stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
A head kick misses from Jakku.
Jakku swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
It looked like Morad was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Horrible takedown attempt by Jakku or perhaps it was just good defense by Morad, which made it look bad.
Morad connects with a crisp jab.
Morad connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Morad showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Jakku.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jakku takes one on the button.

Jakku closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Jakku is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Morad wants to get back to full guard.

Jakku is trying to work for a kimura but Morad is defending well.
Jakku wants to lay and pray for a moment but Morad keeps working.

Jakku is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Morad has managed to free his arm - good work.
Morad wants to control but Jakku is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Jakku slips a nice elbow through Morad's hands, connecting with Morad's forehead.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Jakku sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Morad defending well though.
Morad tries to get to full guard but Jakku has control of the leg.
Morad is concentrating on defense, preventing Jakku from advancing position.

Jakku seems to be working for a kimura but Morad defends the submission attempt.

Jakku not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Jakku throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Jakku walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Jakku tries to close the distance and clinch up but Morad swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Morad seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Morad lands with a cross.
Jakku fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Erran Morad has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Minkki Jakku.
Jakku shoots for a takedown but Morad saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Jakku takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Jakku checks a leg kick.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Morad, as that shot connected.
Morad lands with a hook. Jakku tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Jab, jab by Morad - just one landing.
Morad is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Jakku throws a right hand that Morad ducks under and follows up with a left that Morad also avoids with ease.
Jakku throws a head kick that misses.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Morad fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Jakku on the side of the head.


Jakku is rocked!
Morad lands a glancing blow to the side of Jakku's head.
Jakku is still on wobbly legs! Can Morad finish him?
Jakku backs away from a small jab... but Morad lunges forward with a huge superman punch! Jakku crumples to the ground as his mouth piece is sent flying! Morad with a spectacular finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Superman Punch). Erran Morad!
During a confident post fight interview, Erran Morad thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
