Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kantemir Khashukaev (ranked 2634 p4p, 226 weight class) and Tyson Avery (ranked 4638 p4p, 315 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kantemir Khashukaev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Tyson Avery!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Tiny Johnson and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Avery changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Khashukaev tries to avoid it but Avery manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Khashukaev to the ground. Khashukaev escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Khashukaev lands a lovely overhand right.
Avery lands with a good body shot.
Khashukaev throws a lazy right hand but Avery sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Avery misses with a few strikes there.
Avery misses the shot to the body.

Khashukaev cracks Avery with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Avery lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

It looks like Khashukaev has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Khashukaev will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Avery shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Khashukaev as he avoids it easily.
