Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Allen Kenneth!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Emmon St John!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Paulsen Ambrosius and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kenneth gets the takedown into side control.
You can see the frustration on St John's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Kenneth wants to control but St John is keeping him busy.

St John is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

St John drops back, looking for a kneebar! Kenneth looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Kenneth looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Kenneth!

St John is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Kenneth's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Kenneth's back!

St John is looking for a choke. Kenneth gets to his feet with his opponent on his back and slams him to the mat. Kenneth manages to squirm out of the attempted choke and turns into his opponent's guard.

St John escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kenneth gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as St John holds on and takes a little breather.

Kenneth decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
St John misses with a takedown attempt - Kenneth sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Kenneth closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. St John quickly recovers to half guard.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

St John closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Kenneth wants the takedown. St John is fighting it off but Kenneth persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in St John's guard against the cage.
St John bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kenneth's guard.

Kenneth is trying to hold St John in close to prevent damage but St John has managed to pass into half guard.
St John perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Kenneth is trying to defend against the ground and pound but St John scores with a couple of nice shots.

St John is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kenneth is just riding it out for now. St John eventually gives up the hold.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Kenneth throws a nice looking combination but St John bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Despite the aggression on St John's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Kenneth fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with St John, pushing him back against the cage.

St John successfully pulls guard.

St John working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kenneth doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kenneth manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

St John is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Kenneth is trying to control the action in half guard but St John is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
St John pushes Kenneth off looking to stand but Kenneth dives back in and keeps control.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Emmon St John has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

I would just about give that final round to Emmon St John.
I have no idea who won that fight. Let's wait and see whether the judges are as confused as me! Time for a split decision perhaps?!. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
