Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Island Prince (ranked 1419 p4p, 173 weight class) and Daniel Ferri (ranked 3371 p4p, 387 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Island Prince!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Daniel Ferri!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Peter Branson and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ferri closes the distance and clinches.
Prince is working Ferri over against the cage.
A nice left hand lands by Prince.

Ferri keeping moving, preventing Prince from controlling successfully.
Ferri controls Prince momentarily but Prince frees himself.

Ferri looking for a guillotine here but Prince defends easily.
Ferri working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Prince.

Ferri is looking for a triangle but Prince pushes his legs off easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ferri escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Prince gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Prince throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Ferri works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Ferri is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Prince wants to control from the top but Ferri keeps moving.
Ferri looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Prince has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Ferri is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ferri pulls Prince in close to prevent any damage.
Prince sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Ferri's guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Island Prince will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Prince working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Ferri turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Prince off and cradles Ferri's limp body as Prince celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:50 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Island Prince!
