The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kristian misses with a hook to the body
and Brooks counters with a nice leg kick.
Kristian throws out a loose jab but Brooks uses good head movement to avoid it.
Kristian just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromBrooks.
Brooks buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Kristian loads up on a big right hand but Brooks slips the punch.
Brooks throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kristian looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Brooks is fending him off so far but Kristian persists. Nope, Brooks circles away and we're back to standing.
Kristian changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Brooks throws a hook but Kristian blocks it.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kristian manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Brooks manages to get himself to full guard.

Brooks working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kristian doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Brooks is tightening it up a little... Kristian has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Kristian reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Kristian taps out! Nice BJJ there by Brooks!
