PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rocket Bob Frankels (ranked 74 p4p, 3 weight class) and Dmitri Zaitsev (ranked 645 p4p, 20 weight class). Frankels kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Dawn....Summer Solstice... . Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zaitsev misses the shot to the body.
Frankels thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Zaitsev if he has to take too many more of those.
Zaitsev has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Zaitsev there as he acknowledges the shot.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Zaitsev, as that shot connected.
Zaitsev looks to throw the jab but Frankels is out of range.

and Frankels connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Frankels takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Zaitsev throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Zaitsev will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Frankels up against the cage.

Frankels lands a nice hook to Zaitsev's body. Zaitsev takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Zaitsev looks up at the clock. Bad move! Frankels lands a right hand from hell, dropping Zaitsev. Frankels pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.

Rocket Bob Frankels was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
