Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kenrick Nikil Jr (ranked 1177 p4p, 156 weight class) and Jim Bob McDonald (ranked 165 p4p, 26 weight class). Nikil Jr comes to the cage accompanied by Dark Horse - Andrew Baena. McDonald has chosen Ray Wylie Hubbard - Redneck Mother as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McDonald drives through and clinches with Nikil Jr against the cage.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nikil Jr is keen to just control but McDonald is a slippery customer.

Nikil Jr has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
McDonald tries to roll over but Nikil Jr keeps him under control.

McDonald throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Nikil Jr got a little sloppy there for a moment and McDonald has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Nikil Jr has managed to get both his arms back between McDonald's legs - danger averted.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Nikil Jr closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. McDonald quickly recovers to half guard.
Nikil Jr is nestled in close to McDonald, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
McDonald has hold of Nikil Jr's hands but Nikil Jr slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Nikil Jr keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of McDonald's head.
McDonald manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Nikil Jr manages to get himself to full guard.

Nikil Jr is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! McDonald has his hands clasped together but Nikil Jr extends and breaks McDonald's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Nikil Jr.
