And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Johnny Junior!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Daniel Franklin and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice defenses there by Junior.

Junior gets tackled into the cage by Flowers. Flowers maintains the clinch.

Junior is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Flowers can't fight it off and eventually Junior manages to take the fight to the floor. Flowers looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Flowers is trying to control the position but Junior postures up.
Junior wants to pass the guard but Flowers is keeping the position.

Flowers will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Junior shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Flowers's guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Flowers tries to score a body lock takedown but Junior shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Junior is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Flowers had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Junior defends it easily.
Junior working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Flowers's head.

Junior loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Flowers can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Junior controls the pace.
Junior is continuing to stall.

Flowers has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Junior can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Flowers is fighting off a takedown attempt but Junior is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Flowers to the mat. Flowers regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Junior seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Johnny Junior showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Flowers really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Junior throws a push kick but Flowers slaps the foot to one side.

Flowers is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Johnny Junior decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
