Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kyle Cobra (ranked 678 p4p, 93 weight class) and Tyson James (ranked 1258 p4p, 160 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kyle Cobra!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tyson James!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, David Hoff and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cobra comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

James fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Cobra sprawls well initially but James persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
James prevents Cobra from improving his position.
James working Cobra over with strikes.
Cobra tries to roll over but James keeps him under control.
Cobra is trying to defend against the ground and pound but James scores with a couple of nice shots.
James lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

James is nestled in close to Cobra, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. James lands a nice short elbow.
Cobra wants to get back to full guard.

We've been told by Cobra's head coaches at ELITE Island Gym - 19 Elite Coaches that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

James drops his hands momentarily and Cobra takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
James takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

It looks like Tyson James has been cut.

James shoots in for a double leg but Cobra sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
James's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Cobra connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! James scrambles back to his feet.
This has been an exciting period of action!
James gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Cobra.
Tyson James seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cobra fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches James on the side of the head.
James takes a shot right to the bread basket.

James's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Cobra connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! James scrambles back to his feet.
Kyle Cobra is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
James is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Cobra is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
James is still on wobbly legs! Can Cobra finish him?
Cobra stuffs the takedown.
James seems to have recovered his senses.
Kyle Cobra has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tyson James.

James shoots in and bounces Cobra off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

James ducks right into an uppercut from Cobra.
Cobra throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
James shoots in for a double leg but Cobra sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
An attempted straight right counter from Cobra misses the target.

A jab-cross combination lands for Cobra and sends James crashing to the mat! Cobra follows him down to the mat - James regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

James feints and as Cobra raises his hands in defense, James changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Cobra looking to hit a scissor sweep but James is one step ahead there.
Cobra wants to hit a switch here but James passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Cobra there!
James lands a heavy elbow.
James looking to control but Cobra is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
BOOM! James connects with a massive shot to the dome!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
James prevents Cobra from getting the reversal.

Cobra is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
James softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and Cobra is out cold! James jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!
