PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Malaki Fiso (ranked 1110 p4p, 125 weight class) and Hitoshi Yoshida (ranked 1118 p4p, 127 weight class). Fiso comes to the ring accompanied by The Lord's Prayer (In Samoan). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the featherweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 1, fighting out of London, Hitoshi Yoshida!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Shigeki Fujiwara.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yoshida lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Fiso misses with a body punch

and Yoshida counters with a nice double leg into side control. Fiso won't be happy with that.
Fiso is trying to get back to half guard.

Yoshida working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Fiso is looking to regain half guard here but Yoshida keeps moving and retains side control.
Yoshida advances to mount.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Yoshida trying to control but Fiso is having none of it.
Yoshida tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Yoshida fails to move to back control.
Fiso is looking to get to half guard.
Yoshida takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Fiso is trying desperately to improve position.
Yoshida trying to control but Fiso is having none of it.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Yoshida wants to take Fiso's back here but Fiso is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
Fiso has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
I really don't envy Fiso right now.

Fiso is trying to roll into a better position but Yoshida has get a rear naked choke and Fiso is forced to tap out! This one is allllll over!
