The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith is looking to clinch.
Naut seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Smith has his takedown stuffed

and Naut counters with a single leg into guard. Smith didn't expect that.
Naut controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Naut working some strikes from top position.

Naut thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Smith being controlled here, momentarily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Naut passes Smith's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Naut is thwarting Smith's attempts to control the position.
Naut is taking a breather. Smith says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Naut prevents Smith from standing back up.
Smith is trying to control but can't.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Naut misses with a head kick.
Smith shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Naut counters with a takedown into side control.
Smith takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Smith can't do much from the bottom here.

Naut is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Smith is trying to escape and Naut transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Smith is forced to tap! Nice work there by Naut! Very nice indeed!
