The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Sergei Dronov and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martinez connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Martinez throws an overhand right that lands on Gorgrip's shoulder, as Gorgrip tries to avoid the shot.
Horrible takedown attempt by Gorgrip or perhaps it was just good defense by Martinez, which made it look bad.
Alpo Martinez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gorgrip goes for a double leg but Martinez avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Martinez continues to drive forward.
Gorgrip tries to score a power double leg takedown but Martinez sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gorgrip somewhat.
