Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Hardin (ranked 6330 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diss Mee (ranked 3960 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, John Hardin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Diss Mee!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Shigeki Fujiwara and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hardin connects with a right hand. Mee shakes it off.
Hardin looks to score with a jab to the body but Mee is just out of range.
Despite the aggression on Mee's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Mee clinches up with Hardin and pushes him back against the cage.
Mee has Hardin pushed against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Hardin's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Mee with a knee to the head.
Hardin wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Hardin wants to get back to striking at distance but Mee won't allow it.
Mee misses with a knee strike.
Mee lands a knee to the body.
Mee with a knee to the head.
Mee landing knees to the body.

Mee escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hardin lands a jab-cross combination.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Mee looking to score a takedown here. Hardin is defending well but Mee drives through and ends up in Hardin's guard.
Hardin is breathing heavily.
Mee slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mee stands up from Hardin's guard - Mee perhaps looking for a knockout.

Mee closes the distance and pushes Hardin back into the cage.
Hardin tries to stall but Mee uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Mee lands a knee to the body.
Mee lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Mee lands a good knee to the midsection. Hardin won't want to take too many of those.
Hardin is looking to control Mee's arms but Mee gets an underhook and turns him. Now Hardin has his back to the cage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Mee tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Mee blocks an uppercut.
Mee utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.
Mee lands a nice elbow.
Hardin avoiding damage as Mee throws knees to the body.
Hardin struggles to land a body shot inside as Mee controls his hands.
Mee using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Mee blocks a body shot from Hardin.
Mee tries a knee to the head but Hardin blocks it.

Mee manages to pull guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mee pulls Hardin in close to prevent any damage.
Hardin preventing the sweep.
Hardin throws a big right hand that misses.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Mee is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Hardin being controlled here momentarily.
Hardin missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Hardin wants to pass the guard but Mee is keeping the position.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Hardin tries a head kick but it misses.
Hardin lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Hardin connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Mee momentarily.
Mee drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Hardin lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Mee at a distance.
Mee takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Mee moves into range and clinches up with Hardin.
Mee with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Stalling in the clinch from Mee.

Mee jumps guard.
Hardin loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Hardin wants to control from the top but Mee keeps moving.
Mee pulls Hardin in close to prevent any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Diss Mee dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

John Hardin has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
A big right followed by a crushing left from Hardin knocks Mee out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!
