Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Taran Chula (ranked 253 p4p, 32 weight class) and Bob Cook (ranked 503 p4p, 59 weight class). Cook is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Lil Baby - Southside. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 11 - 1, fighting out of New York, Taran Chula!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bob Cook!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chula moves out of range as Cook strikes.
Chula avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Chula swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Chula misses with a straight right.
Cook tries to bum rush Chula with a series of wild strikes but Chula uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Chula was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Chula scores with a nice body kick.
Chula misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Cook wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
A solid leg kick lands there for Chula.
Chula keeps the fight on the outside.

Cook closes the distance and pushes Chula back into the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Chula tries to work over Cook's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Cook changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

A nice side step and Cook releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Cook lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Cook takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Cook misses with a looping left.
An attempted straight right counter from Chula misses the target.
Chula connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Cook's hands.
Chula swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That was a close round but I would say that Taran Chula will probably get the nod.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Taran Chula.
I think Chula has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
