Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Elmer Fudd (ranked 859 p4p, 119 weight class) and Shayne Corson (ranked 1638 p4p, 207 weight class). Fudd comes to the cage accompanied by Blue On Black. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Corson throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Corson avoids the body shot from Fudd.
It seemed like Corson was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Corson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Corson stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Fudd.

Fudd swings wildly with an uppercut but Corson uses good head movement to avoid it.

Corson is fighting off a takedown attempt but Fudd is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Corson to the mat. Corson regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Fudd stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Corson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Fudd controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Fudd takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Fudd with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Corson to score with a decent uppercut.

Corson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Fudd fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Corson manages to avoid it.

Fudd has managed to clinch.
Corson tries to throw a body punch but Fudd avoids it by throwing Corson back against the cage.
Corson makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Fudd lands a takedown into guard.

Fudd content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Corson has locked up a guillotine! Corson's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Fudd is holding on here and Corson must be using up a lot of energy. Fudd has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Corson gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
