Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Diego Silva (ranked 3086 p4p, 365 weight class) and Paasio Pertti (ranked 3491 p4p, 404 weight class). Paasio Pertti has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Paasio Pertti!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Dirk Anderson and Santiago Holmes.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pertti scores with a jab.
Pertti fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Silva on the side of the head.
Pertti scores with a jab to the body.
Silva definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Pertti loads up on a big right hand but Silva slips the punch.
A looping hook to the body misses from Silva. Pertti does a little dance to reset his feet.

Silva has Pertti up against the cage in a clinch.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Pertti throws a punch but it's blocked by Silva.
Silva lands a body punch in the clinch.
Pertti landing knees to the body.

Silva tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Pertti's elbow.
Pertti looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Pertti breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Pertti tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Pertti lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

and Silva counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Silva escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Pertti looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Silva slips under a jab.
Silva misses with a lunging right hand
letting Pertti counter with a right hand.
Silva uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Pertti.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Pertti! Silva is out on his feet! Pertti rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Silva is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Silva is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
