Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Peter Rogers!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Joseph as Rogers shoots in.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Rogers trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Joseph shoots in for a takedown but Rogers shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

It looked like Joseph was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Rogers fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Joseph manages to avoid it.
Rogers should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Joseph drops down looking for a counter takedown but Rogers sprawls and moves away.
Joseph throws a sloppy head kick and Rogers moves out of range easily.

and Joseph counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Joseph throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Rogers is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Joseph is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Rogers asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Rogers rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Joseph moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Joseph goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Rogers is on top in guard.
Joseph is pulling down on Rogers's head. It's preventing any offense from Rogers, at least for the moment.

Joseph continues to stall.
Joseph can't keep his opponent in guard - Rogers advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Rogers maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Joseph could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Rogers has cracked it and Joseph is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Rogers!
