West has chosen Sober as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
West avoids the body shot from Stern.
Stern scores with a nice strike.
West changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Stern tries to avoid it but West manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Stern to the ground. Stern escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Stern keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

West has Stern up against the cage in a clinch.
West blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Stern tries to work over West's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Stern's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Dick Stern seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Stern misses with a head kick.
Stern throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
West with the counter takedown but Stern avoids it easily.
Stern throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

West takes the fight into the clinch.
Stern creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through West's defenses.

It looks like Wayde West has been cut.
Stern misses with some punches.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Stern throws a hook to the side of West's head but West sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Stern circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! West drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Stern follows West to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
