Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kannissa Kaki (ranked 7881 p4p, 538 weight class) and Bob Hauweg (ranked 22124 p4p, 560 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch lands to the side of Kaki 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Hauweg has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.

Kaki rushes Hauweg and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Kaki has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Hauweg wants to control his opponent's hands but Kaki gets his hands free.

Kaki is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Hauweg defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Kaki is striking well from the back but Hauweg escapes and manages to control the positon and works his way to half guard. A much better position - the crisis is over for the time being.

Kaki is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Hauweg doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Kaki.

That was a close round but I would say that Kannissa Kaki will probably get the nod.

Hauweg is nestled in close to Kaki, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Hauweg postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Kaki on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Kaki doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
