Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jomar Galang (ranked 3337 p4p, 328 weight class) and Sherlock Holmes (ranked 4305 p4p, 393 weight class). Galang comes to the cage accompanied by No Other Name. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Sherlock Holmes was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holmes wants to clinch.
Galang looks to land a combination. Holmes sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Galang connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Galang cracks Holmes with a good jab.
Holmes tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
It looked like Galang was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Holmes.
Galang connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Holmes swings for the body but Galang moves out of range.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Galang fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Holmes looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Holmes has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Holmes tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Galang paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Holmes tries to close the distance and clinch but Galang swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and Galang counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

and Galang connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Holmes doesn't manage to clinch there - Galang circles away.
Jomar Galang is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Galang scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Galang darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Galang scores with a sloppy right hand. Holmes should have avoided that one.
Galang connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Holmes momentarily.

Galang connects with a stiff jab that staggers Holmes - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
