Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 10 - 4, fighting out of Montreal, Mick Dundee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Kayring Saiarr!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Yves DeLean and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dundee lands a right hook to the body.
Dundee fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Saiarr has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Dundee connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Saiarr slips a jab from Dundee.
Dundee scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Saiarr doesn't seem bothered though.
Dundee misses with a straight right.
Dundee lands a nice shot to the body.
Saiarr misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Dundee connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Dundee tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Saiarr paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Saiarr takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Dundee sizes up Saiarr with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Dundee swings for the body but Saiarr moves out of range.
Dundee fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Saiarr manages to avoid it.
Dundee connects with a leg kick. Saiarr looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Mick Dundee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Dundee tries to throw a body punch but Saiarr avoids it by throwing Dundee back against the cage.
Dundee tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Dundee tries to work over Saiarr's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Saiarr escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Saiarr has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Saiarr throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Dundee tried to counter with a leg kick but Saiarr avoided it.
A decent looking cross lands there for Dundee.

Dundee cracks Saiarr with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Dundee throws a right hand that Saiarr ducks under and follows up with a left that Saiarr also avoids with ease.

and Saiarr counters with a nice uppercut.

Dundee doesn't manage to clinch there - Saiarr circles away.
An inside leg kick from Saiarr misses.
Dundee throws a leg kick which misses Saiarr's front leg but catches the back leg as Saiarr tries to avoid it.
Saiarr drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Dundee scores with a sloppy right hand. Saiarr should have avoided that one.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Saiarr replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Dundee blocks it well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

That kick from Dundee tenderised Saiarr's leg. Saiarr is trying to keep his angry face on.
Saiarr looks to land a right hand but Dundee moved out of range.
Dundee scores with a sloppy right hand. Saiarr should have avoided that one.
Saiarr on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Dundee buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dundee goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.


It looks like Kayring Saiarr has been cut.
Dundee tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Saiarr was well out of range. Poor timing from Dundee.
Dundee's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Saiarr connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Dundee scrambles back to his feet.
Dundee moves to clinch but Saiarr breaks away
and Dundee takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Dundee is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Saiarr can do to turn this around?

Dundee throws a body shot but no joy.
Dundee lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Saiarr displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Dundee throws out the jab.

Dundee lands a left and a right that send Saiarr crashing to the mat, dazed. Dundee thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Saiarr is still on wobbly legs! Can Dundee finish him?
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Dundee ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Saiarr gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Dundee gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mick Dundee!
In his post fight interview, Mick Dundee started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
Kayring Saiarr spoke after the fight, saying 'I am not sure what happened tonight but I will bounce back from this with the help and support from my orangutans '.
