And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Jay Leno!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shigeki Sano.


The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Trump instigates a clinch.
Leno is pressed up against the cage. Trump has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Leno down to the mat. Leno avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Trump gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Leno to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Leno tries to free his leg and advance position but Trump is retaining full guard.
Trump has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
Leno really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Trump. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Trump is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Leno looking for a kimura from the bottom but Trump passes into side control!

Trump wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Leno, who protects the arm well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Leno is looking to regain half guard here but Trump keeps moving and retains side control.

Trump wants to take a breather but Leno is having none of it.

Leno is desperately trying to improve his position but Trump has a good base and remains in mount.

Trump looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Leno wants to escape the position.

Leno is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

Trump has the hooks in. Leno is starting to panic. He's trying to push off one of the legs but he's left his neck open to attack. Trump passes his arm under Leno's neck and tightens up a rear naked choke! This one is surely all over! Yes, Leno taps!
