Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lucas Azambuja (ranked 3704 p4p, 380 weight class) and Derrick Johnson (ranked 4820 p4p, 462 weight class). Lucas Azambuja is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Winston Alpacca and Dirk Anderson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Johnson.
It looked like Azambuja wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Derrick Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Johnson throws a jab when Azambuja was well out of range.
Johnson throws an off balance right hand
and Azambuja counters with a nice body shot.

letting Azambuja counter with a right hand.
Azambuja throws a front kick aimed at Johnson's knee but Johnson avoids it well.
Johnson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Azambuja sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Johnson somewhat.
Lucas Azambuja has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Derrick Johnson.

Oooooh!!! Azambuja has knocked Johnson down with a huge combo! Azambuja steps away and waves a wobbly Johnson back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Johnson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Azambuja's waist but Azambuja gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Johnson off to one side.
Azambuja appears to be looking for a big counter.

and Azambuja counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Azambuja has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Johnson with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Azambuja to score with a decent uppercut.
Johnson misses the shot to the body.
Azambuja scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Johnson doesn't seem bothered though.

Johnson drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Johnson slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Azambuja knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Johnson on the ground.
Johnson is staying tight to Azambuja's torso, preventing him from escaping.

Johnson is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Azambuja's shoulder. That is not cool.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Azambuja is not content to let Johnson control the position.
Azambuja tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Johnson has knee on belly and moves into mount.
The referee warns Azambuja that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Azambuja tries to hold on but Johnson postures up.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Johnson controlling the pace for now.
Let's hope that Johnson has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Johnson quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Johnson but it's paid off an Azambuja is forced to tap! Nice work by Johnson.
