PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bashaad Al Hammad (ranked 21041 p4p, 0 weight class) and Galdra Kiddi (ranked 3150 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Kiddi uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Al Hammad has time to react.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kiddi accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Kiddi takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Let's hope that Kiddi has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Al Hammad seems to have got his legs back now.
Al Hammad is bucking up trying to escape but Kiddi cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
