Gallowgate is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Dupont has gone for a leg lock! Gallowgate slips out almost immediately though and dives into Dupont's guard.

Dupont pulls Gallowgate in close to his closed guard and prevents Gallowgate from doing any damage or advancing position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dupont is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Gallowgate frees his head nicely. Oh but Dupont has switched to an armbar! Gallowgate is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
