Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rick Dick (ranked 2646 p4p, 278 weight class) and Didi Hamman (ranked 2555 p4p, 273 weight class). Didi Hamman struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 171.1lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dick closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Hamman quickly recovers to half guard.
Hamman wants to get back to full guard.
Dick looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Hamman with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Dick is nestled in close to Hamman, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Hamman wants to control but Dick is keeping busy.
Dick is working for a kimura but Hamman is defending it quite comfortably.

Hamman has hold of Dick's hands but Dick slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Hamman really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dick. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Dick is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Dick lands a nice short elbow.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hamman can do anything to dispel that myth.
