Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Charles Pierce (ranked 24703 p4p, 0 weight class) and Just Fight (ranked 3982 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Charles Pierce!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Just Fight!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Columbo Gatti and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fight feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Pierce seems keen to control Fight's posture.
Pierce lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Pierce really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Pierce wants to stand but Fight has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Pierce won't allow Fight to sweep him here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fight working a defensive guard but Pierce manages to pass into side control anyway.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pierce looks up at the clock and then as Fight takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Pierce smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Pierce stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Pierce wants to clinch
and Fight finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.

Fight has closed the distance and engaged Pierce in a clinch.
Pierce tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Fight just stands there and leans against the cage.

Pierce wants the takedown. Fight is fighting it off but Pierce persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Fight's guard against the cage.
Pierce cracks Fight with a solid left hand.
Fight wants to sweep here but Pierce controlling him for the moment.
Fight keeps trying to improve his position.
Pierce postures up.

Pierce drops back looking for a leg! Fight is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Fight manages to kick Pierce off! Pierce jumps back into Fight's guard.
Pierce seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Fight looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Pierce is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Fight working a defensive guard here.
Pierce is fighting to break Fight's control of his arms but Fight is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Fight not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Pierce wants to stand but Fight is controlling his posture from full guard.

Pierce scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Fight trying to control the position.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Pierce stands up and waves to Fight to follow him.

Pierce closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Pierce lands in his opponent's guard.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Fight manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Fight wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Pierce tries to pull guard but Fight forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Pierce turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Pierce manages to end up in side control.
Fight is looking to regain half guard here but Pierce keeps moving and retains side control.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Pierce takes a little break here. Fight wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Fight sneaks out the side door and pushes Pierce away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Pierce fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Charles Pierce. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Fight scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Just Fight dominated that round.
That's time! Pierce's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Fight drives through with a takedown into Pierce's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Pierce knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Fight on the ground.

Fight controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Fight has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Fight is looking to work some ground and pound but Pierce has wrist control.
Pierce is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Pierce wants to stand up but Fight has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Pierce will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Pierce prevents Fight from improving his position.
Fight is trying to maintain the position but Pierce is very close to passing his half guard.
Fight is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Pierce is staying active.

Pierce is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Fight is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Pierce jumps into side control!

Pierce cracks Fight with an elbow. That is naaassty.

Fight tries to bench press Pierce off him but Pierce keeps the position.
Fight manages to work his way to half guard, despite Pierce's best efforts.
Pierce looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Pierce slips a nice elbow through Fight's hands, connecting with Fight's forehead.
Fight wants to control but Pierce is keeping busy.

Pierce tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Fight.

Pierce working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Fight is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Pierce scores with a couple of nice shots.

Fight has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Pierce is on him like a limpet, forcing Fight back against the cage.

Fight manages to break the clinch.

Fight clinches up with Pierce and pushes him back against the cage.

Pierce gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Fight regains guard.

Fight is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Pierce tries to pull guard but Fight won't allow it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Charles Pierce. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Pierce is looking to take this one to the mat.

Fight gets control of Pierce's arms and successfully pulls guard. Fight will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Just Fight showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Pierce gets tackled into the cage by Fight. Fight maintains the clinch.
Pierce leaning against his opponent.
Pierce has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Fight is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Fight using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Pierce has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Fight has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Pierce uses from the top position.
Pierce is looking to stand up but Fight won't let him.
Fight looking for a sweep. Not yet Fight, not yet.
Fight working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Pierce.

Pierce gets to his feet. Fight looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Fight rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Pierce moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Pierce jumps guard but Fight turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Pierce trying to control the position but instead, Fight has worked for underhooks and has pushed Pierce into the cage.

Fight's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Fight fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Pierce sprawls well initially but Fight persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ground and pound from Fight.
Just Fight has got the better of the ground game so far.
Fight trying to mount his opponent but Pierce defends it.
Fight prevents Pierce from standing back up.
Fight not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Pierce manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Fight throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Pierce's head.


Pierce is rocked!
Fight fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Oh Pierce is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Fight lands a big right hook! Pierce looks hurt but is still standing! Fight lands a left jab and another right hook! This time Pierce falls down and Fight dives in with a huge hammer fist! Pierce's eyes roll back! The referee calls for the bell and Fight runs up the cage to celebrate with his fans!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:14 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Just Fight!
