Longwe comes to the cage accompanied by kojo funds dun talking. Rayful Edmond has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Bwanali Longwe's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Edmond clinches up with Longwe and pushes him back against the cage.

Edmond manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Longwe manages to get himself to full guard.

Longwe tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Longwe can't keep his opponent in guard - Edmond advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Let's hope that Edmond has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Edmond is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Edmond has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Longwe is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Edmond pushes Longwe off and gets back to his feet.

Longwe gets tackled into the cage by Edmond. Edmond maintains the clinch.
Edmond has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Longwe avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Longwe prevents a takedown attempt there.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Longwe takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Edmond drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Edmond is trying to drag Longwe to the mat but Longwe just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Edmond is trying to pull guard but Longwe turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Longwe has Edmond pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Longwe pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Edmond tumbling to the mat - Longwe dives into Edmond's guard.

Edmond manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Longwe looking to sit in guard and control but Edmond gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Edmond seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Edmond pushes down on Longwe's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Edmond is taking a breather. Longwe says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Longwe is pushing Edmond's head away, looking to escape. Edmond manages to hold on to the position though.
Edmond is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Longwe will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Well Edmond has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
