Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Levis Fevis (ranked 5230 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dariusz Kucharski (ranked 4293 p4p, 0 weight class). Levis Fevis has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Levis Fevis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dariusz Kucharski!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Alan Glass and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Fevis, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Kucharski dives in and scores a takedown into Fevis's guard.
Fevis is trying to control the position but Kucharski postures up.
Kucharski stays in close to Fevis's body and controls the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kucharski changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Fevis looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fevis seems a little lost for a moment, as Kucharski dominates the positioning.

Fevis wants to control his opponent's hands but Kucharski gets his hands free.
Kucharski is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

Kucharski lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Fevis.
Kucharski slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Kucharski throws a body punch but Fevis moves out of range.
Fevis swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
A looping hook to the body misses from Kucharski. Fevis does a little dance to reset his feet.
As Kucharski looks to move away, Fevis throws a big counter combo but Kucharski just gets out of the way.

Kucharski drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Fevis is trying to control the position from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fevis is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Fevis can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kucharski controls the pace.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Kucharski lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Kucharski seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Let's hope that Kucharski has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Fevis was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.

Kucharski closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Fevis did well to prevent Kucharski getting side control.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Kucharski in particular looking to stall.

Kucharski looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Fevis with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Fevis slips under a jab from Kucharski.

Dariusz Kucharski showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!



Fevis gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Well Kucharski has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
