And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Hugh Johnson and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lothbrok fails with a takedown attempt.
Neves unleashes a big counter combination but Lothbrok bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Lothbrok looks to score with a jab to the body but Neves is just out of range.
Neves on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Lothbrok misses with a body shot
and Neves counters with a shoot takedown. Lothbrok fights it but they end up in guard.
Lothbrok is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Roosters Coop that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
Lothbrok keeping moving, preventing Neves from controlling successfully.
Lothbrok wants to reverse the position here. Neves has hold of a leg though and he's dropped back looking for a kneebar! The fighters roll across the mat but Lothbrok is forced to tap! Lothbrok looks devastated but at least his leg points in the right direction.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Thiago Neves! Thiago Neves retains his lightweight title!
A relieved looking Thiago Neves thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
