Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Troy Hooper (ranked 1353 p4p, 159 weight class) and Oliver Queen (ranked 2445 p4p, 271 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Troy Hooper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Oliver Queen!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Elvis Blanc and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Hooper does no damage.

Queen takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Hooper shoots in for a takedown but Queen shows good takedown defense.

Hooper turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Hooper manages to end up in side control.

Hooper lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Troy Hooper.
Well Hooper has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Troy Hooper decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
Oliver Queen was interviewed post fight and said 'Good fight Artie, lets go have a beer and toast one up to Eric.'.
