Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mungo Jerry (ranked 1644 p4p, 208 weight class) and Iggy Manley (ranked 1776 p4p, 224 weight class). Manley has chosen Born in the USA as his entrance music. Iggy Manley has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Manley gets tackled into the cage by Jerry. Jerry maintains the clinch.

Jerry breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Jerry works over Manley's head and body with a nice combination.

Manley closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Jerry wants to get back to his feet but Manley drags him back down.
Manley is putting a hurting on Jerry here, landing some big shots from side control.
Jerry has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Jerry is trying to buck Manley off.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Manley wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Jerry, who protects the arm well.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jerry is trying to escape the position but Manley is controlling the position.

Jerry bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

Manley tries to keep at a distance but Jerry has taken the fight into the clinch.

Jerry is pressed up against the cage. Manley has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Jerry down to the mat. Jerry avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Jerry misses with the combination.
Manley with the counter takedown but Jerry avoids it easily.
No luck for Manley with that takedown attempt.
Jerry throws a head kick but Manley moves out of range.

Manley drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Jerry is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Manley has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Manley is putting a hurting on Jerry here, landing some big shots from side control.
Jerry is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Jerry is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Manley is controlling him well.
Manley lands an elbow.
Jerry wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Manley is looking to take a break and control but Jerry is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Manley creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

After the fight, Iggy Manley was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
