Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Matt Lethal (ranked 253 p4p, 36 weight class) and Paul Hunt (ranked 385 p4p, 51 weight class). Lethal comes to the cage accompanied by we're off to see the wizard. Matt Lethal had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunt with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Lethal to score with a decent uppercut.
Hunt looks to land a right hand but Lethal moved out of range.
Lethal has been working on his boxing with his coaches at mickeyharts the greatest in the buildup to the fight.
Matt Lethal seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Hunt has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Hunt might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Lethal has got the better of the exchanges.

That was a close second round but I would say that Matt Lethal will probably get the nod.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Matt Lethal.
Well Lethal has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
