Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Expendable Crewman V (ranked 554 p4p, 16 weight class) and John Smith (ranked 256 p4p, 9 weight class). Crewman V comes to the cage accompanied by The Warrior song. Smith has chosen Song 2 as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith misses with the combination.
Smith stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Smith misses with a head kick.
Smith circles away from the clinch attempt.
Crewman V throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Crewman V throws a looping overhand right but Smith ducks down to avoid it.
Smith swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Crewman V ducks under a wild hook from Smith.
Smith has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.

Smith chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Crewman V can pounce on him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A telegraphed right hand from Smith misses the target.
Crewman V closes the distance and pushes Smith back into the cage.

Crewman V clobbers Smith with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Smith might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Crewman V lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

enabling Crewman V to counter with a crisp jab.
Crewman V ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Smith throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Crewman V sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Crewman V jabs Smith right on the nose. Smith blinks but takes it well.
Crewman V uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Smith.
Smith takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Smith cracks Crewman V with a good jab.
Smith dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Crewman V throws the kick towards the body but Smith avoids it.
Smith looks like he wants to counter punch here.

Crewman V swings wildly with an uppercut but Smith uses good head movement to avoid it.
Smith wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Crewman V throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Smiths head.

Crewman V breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

It looks like Expendable Crewman V has been cut.

Smith cracks Crewman V with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Smith has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Crewman V to stand back up!
Crewman V is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Smith looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Smith backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Crewman V's temple! It sends Crewman V violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Smith celebrates and the doctors try to help Crewman V!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Flying Knee). John Smith!
