Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brent Boston!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 35 - 26 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Matt Hunt!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Marco Blurström and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunt throws a right hand that misses
and Boston counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Hunt misses with a hook
and Boston counters with a left to the body.
Hunt tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Boston throws a series of punches but Hunt avoids them all with ease.
Hunt throws a hook but Boston avoids it easily.
Hunt takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Hunt throws a jab when Boston was well out of range.
Hunt throws a right hand that misses
letting Boston counter with a right hand.


It looks like Matt Hunt has been cut.
Some wild striking there from Hunt.

Hunt looks to throw a body kick

and Boston counters with a takedown into side control.

Hunt is looking for a sweep.
Boston misses with the ground and pound.
The ground and pound from Boston seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Hunt takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Boston creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Hunt sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Hunt parries the strikes from Boston easily there. Boston is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Hunt to escape.
Hunt is looking to regain half guard here but Boston keeps moving and retains side control.
Boston connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Hunt some visible discomfort.

Boston in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Boston lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Hunt down.
Boston lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Boston looks up at the clock and then as Hunt takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Boston smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!


That has opened up Matt Hunt's cut even more.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Boston is looking to take a break and control but Hunt is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hunt has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Boston is working away from the top position though.
Boston is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Hunt tries to roll over but Boston keeps him under control.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Boston tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Hunt manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Boston is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Hunt can do to turn this around?

It looked like Boston was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Hunt falls off balance throwing a combination
and Boston makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Hunt wants to slow Boston down by chopping away at his legs.
A head kick misses from Hunt.
Boston was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Hunt jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
A left lands for Boston.
Hunt misses with a right hand
and Boston counters with a three punch combo that has Hunt backing up. Hunt nods at Boston to acknowledge the strikes.
Hunt throws a shot from downtown. Boston moves away and avoids it.
Boston throws a big counter combination but Hunt scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Boston closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hunt to the mat! Hunt manages to get full guard.
Boston might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Boston works over Hunt with some ground and pound from guard.


The cut above Matt Hunt's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Boston trying to control the position from guard on top but Hunt is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Boston trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Hunt throws a lazy uppercut
and Boston counters with a nice uppercut.
Matt Hunt has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Boston throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Hunt missing with a left hand there. Boston was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Brent Boston is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Boston keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.


Matt Hunt's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Hunt is the more experienced fighter here and he's going to need to draw on some of that experience if he's going to pull this one out the bag.
Hunt throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Boston is looking for a counter combo.
Hunt connects with a nice looking jab.
Hunt takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Boston blocks a head kick by Hunt.
Boston went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Matt Hunt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hunt connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hunt throws out a counter right but Boston avoids it with no problem.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hunt throws a hook to the side of Boston's head but Boston sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Hunt thows a leg kick but Boston checks it
and Boston cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Matt Hunt's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Brent Boston!
