Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Musaaab Farah (ranked 5168 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maurice King (ranked 6400 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Maurice King enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Musaaab Farah!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Maurice King!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yukihiro Shimada and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Farah shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Farah was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
You can see the frustration on King's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
King gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Farah will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
King gets back to full guard.
Farah trying to control the position from guard on top but King is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

King working for a triangle but Farah defends it easily.
Farah trying to control but King is working from the bottom.

King wants to sweep here but Farah controlling him for the moment.
Farah looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Farah trying to control the position from guard on top but King is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
King is adopting a defensive guard.
King looking to hit a scissor sweep but Farah is one step ahead there.
King looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Farah trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Farah throws an elbow that misses. King uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Farah's guard. Nice move by King!

King stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Farah swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Farah keeping moving, preventing King from controlling successfully.
Farah tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Farah preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Farah throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
King lands a couple of decent looking shots.
King slips nicely into half guard.
Farah is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of King's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take King's back!
King looking very determined here, making life difficult for Farah.

King is in bad spot here.
Farah throwing strikes and King squirms under the pressure, ending up mounted.

Farah jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… King is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by King and Farah has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
King is looking to reverse the position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Farah controls the position from side control.
Farah creates some space and throws a big elbow, but King sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Musaaab Farah will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Farah scores with a kick to the body.
Farah misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Farah defends well against a solid takedown attempt from King.
Farah is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from King.
King misses with an uppercut
and Farah counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
King avoids a kick to the body.

Farah shoots in and gets a takedown into King's guard.
Farah postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
King keeping moving, preventing Farah from controlling successfully.
Farah trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Farah keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of King's head.
Musaaab Farah overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Farah throwing strikes from guard but King blocks nicely.
Farah really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Farah not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Farah wants to control from the top but King keeps moving.
Farah is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that King can do to turn this around?
King is trying to control the position but Farah postures up.
King throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
King uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Farah.
King looks like he wants to counter punch here.

Farah closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
King looks to move to half guard but instead Farah has passed into mount! Damn!
Farah thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
King keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Farah is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. King can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Farah looking to control but King is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
King tries to reverse the position but Farah maintains control.
King should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Farah sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
King tries to get back to half guard but can't.
King slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
King is breathing heavily.
Farah trying to control from half guard but King is working away.

Farah seems to be looking for submissions.
Farah looks to land a strike but King avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
King thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Farah slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Farah is looking to stand up but King won't let him.
King is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
King controls Farah momentarily but Farah frees himself.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Farah accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Farah drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
King can't keep his opponent in guard - Farah advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Musaaab Farah dominated that second round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!



Farah shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Farah showed some decent athleticism there.
King tries to roll over but Farah keeps him under control.
King gets back to full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Farah gets to his feet. King looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Farah with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Farah is looking to advance position but King won't allow it.

Farah is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, King has managed to free his arm - good work.
King is trying to get back to full guard.

Farah throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing King to regain full guard.

Farah looking to score a takedown here. King is defending well but Farah drives through and ends up in King's guard.

King might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Farah haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
King takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
King wants to sweep but no luck.
Farah trying to control but King is working from the bottom.
King is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Farah controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Farah accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Musaaab Farah seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Farah closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into King's guard.
Farah tries to free his leg and advance position but King is retaining full guard.
Farah wants to control from the top but King keeps moving.

Farah content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because King has locked up a guillotine! King's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Farah is holding on here and King must be using up a lot of energy. Farah has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! King gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
