Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Piet Smit (ranked 1080 p4p, 171 weight class) and Nqobile Ndlandla (ranked 1930 p4p, 279 weight class). Smit's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Baby Got Back. Piet Smit is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ndlandla cracks the inside of Smit's front leg.
Ndlandla misses with a straight left.
Smit ducks under a wild hook from Ndlandla.

Smit moves into the clinch.
Ndlandla doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Smit.
Smit blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Smit changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Ndlandla fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Ndlandla lands a leg kick that knocks Smit off balance momentarily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Smit closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Ndlandla escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Smit clinches up with Ndlandla and pushes him back against the cage.
Ndlandla doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Smit tries for a takedown but Ndlandla manages to get underhooks.

A head punch blocked on the inside by Smit.
Smit blocks an uppercut.

Ndlandla breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Ndlandla keeps the fight on the outside.

Smit has Ndlandla up against the cage in a clinch.
Ndlandla has had enough of the clinch but Smit keeps him there for the moment.

Ndlandla manages to break the clinch.
Smit looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Smit tries to close the distance and clinch but Ndlandla swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Smit backing away here, and Ndlandla unleashes a leg kick that just misses.
Ndlandla throws a jab when Smit was well out of range.
Smit uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Ndlandla.
Smit tries to clinch but Ndlandla is having none of it.

Smit clinches.
Ndlandla is trying to push Smit away but Smit has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Ndlandla prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Piet Smit. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Ndlandla manages to break the clinch.
Ndlandla looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Smit wants to clinch.
Ndlandla tests Smit's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Smit keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Smit steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Ndlandla.

Ndlandla gets tackled into the cage by Smit. Smit maintains the clinch.
Ndlandla misses with some punches.

Smit's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Smit tries to clinch but Ndlandla is having none of it.
Ndlandla misses with a low kick as Smit jumps back.
Smit swings for the body but Ndlandla moves out of range.
Smit keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Ndlandla.
Smit tries to clinch up.
A little jabbing left from Ndlandla on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Smit darts in and clinches Ndlandla up against the cage.
Ndlandla misses with some punches.
Ndlandla wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Smit has Ndlandla pressed against the cage.

Smit jumps guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Smit escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ndlandla gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Smit is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Ndlandla defends well.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Smit is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Ndlandla rolls with it to try and escape but Smit cranks on the arm and Ndlandla is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
