Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Paavel Wulf (ranked 3784 p4p, 398 weight class) and Troy Anselmo (ranked 1505 p4p, 182 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anselmo takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Anselmo misses with a wild combination.
Wulf misses with a jab, cross combination.
Wulf lands an overhand right.
Nice defenses there by Anselmo.
Wulf tries a head kick but it misses.
Anselmo throws out a counter right but Wulf avoids it with no problem.

Paavel Wulf seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wulf loads up on a big right hand but Anselmo slips the punch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wulf moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Anselmo on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Anselmo steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Wulf. That one must have hurt.
Wulf dives in for a single leg takedown but Anselmo sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Anselmo throws out a counter right but Wulf avoids it with no problem.
Anselmo avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Anselmo! But no joy.

Anselmo lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Anselmo throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Wulf sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Wulf fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Anselmo.
Wulf explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.

Troy Anselmo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Wulf connects with the punch.
Wulf bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Anselmo's head backwards.
Wulf tries to bum rush Anselmo with a series of wild strikes but Anselmo uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
A little jabbing left from Anselmo on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Anselmo takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Anselmo uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Wulf.
Anselmo misses with a looping left.
Wulf shoots in looking for a takedown but Anselmo manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Wulf's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Anselmo lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

and Wulf takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Wulf fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
A swing and a miss from Anselmo.
A quick step to the side and Wulf tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Wulf is looking to chop away at Anselmo's legs.
Wulf lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Wulf pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Anselmo looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Wulf cracks the inside of Anselmo's front leg.
Wulf lands a jab to the nose.
The fighters circling - Wulf throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Anselmo lands with a cross.
Wulf is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Paavel Wulf is winning the standup battle so far.
Wulf lands a right hook to the body.
A head kick from Wulf lands but Anselmo takes it in his stride.
Wulf throws a nice head kick!
Anselmo throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Wulf on the side of the head.
Wulf goes for a double leg but Anselmo avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Anselmo continues to drive forward.
Wulf connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Wulf fails in his attempt to clinch.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Wulf is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Anselmo can do to turn this around?

Anselmo's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
The fighters circling - Anselmo throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Wulf throws a head kick but Anselmo moves out of range.

Anselmo's jab looks to have found its range, popping Wulf under the eye.

Anselmo cracks Wulf with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Wulf looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Anselmo finish him?

Anselmo slaps away a takedown attempt from Wulf, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Wulf throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Anselmo lands a big right hand that sends Wulf crashing to the mat! Anselmo stays standing though and waves Wulf back to his feet!
Oh Wulf is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Wulf gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Anselmo points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Wulf wakes up just in time to hear Anselmo thank his coaches in the post fight interview.

After winning the bout, Troy Anselmo thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
