Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Monte Goglin (ranked 2370 p4p, 258 weight class) and AJ Hinch (ranked 4398 p4p, 411 weight class). Goglin kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Monte. Hinch has chosen Cult of personality-Living Colour as his entrance music. The key to victory for Monte Goglin has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hinch throws a head kick that misses.
Goglin avoids the head kick by Hinch.
Goglin slips under a jab from Hinch.
Hinch avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Goglin pushes Hinch up against the cage in a clinch.

We've been told by Goglin's head coaches at Navy Street MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Hinch swats away the attempt to clinch by Goglin.
Hinch throws a sloppy head kick
and Goglin counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Goglin forces Hinch back against the cage and clinches.
Goglin lands a nice elbow from the clinch.

It looks like AJ Hinch has been cut.

Hinch tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Hinch dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Hinch shoots in but no luck this time.
Monte Goglin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of AJ Hinch.
Goglin tries to close the distance and clinch but Hinch swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Hinch drops down looking for an ankle pick but Goglin pulls his leg out and moves away.
Goglin tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Hinch manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Goglin digs a right hand into Hinch's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Hinch's gas tank.

Hinch tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Goglin was well out of range. Poor timing from Hinch.

Goglin moves into range and clinches up with Hinch.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Hinch has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Goglin is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Hinch takes an elbow to the temple.

That has opened up AJ Hinch's cut even more.
Hinch is working for takedown but Goglin is calmly controlling the position for now.

Goglin can't find room to land a body shot as Hinch controls the action.

AJ Hinch's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at AJ Hinch's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
