Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lee Sin (ranked 1611 p4p, 189 weight class) and Besy Jyre (ranked 2112 p4p, 237 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lee Sin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Besy Jyre!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jyre scores with a jab to the head.

Jyre instigates a clinch.

Jyre breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Sin throws a big shot that misses.
Good standup being displayed there by Sin as he connects with a hook.
Sin throws a hook but Jyre avoids it easily.
Jyre is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sin manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jyre manages to get himself to full guard.

Jyre keeps trying to improve his position.
Sin throws a big right hand that misses.
Sin wants to control from the top but Jyre keeps moving.

Jyre has his foot on Sin's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sin works his way back into a safe position though.
Sin is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Jyre manages to escape and get back to his feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jyre's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Sin connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Jyre scrambles back to his feet.
Sin looks to land a right hand but Jyre moved out of range.
Sin throws the left hand but Jyre avoids the punch easily.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lee Sin dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


Jyre defending well as Sin loads up on a big left hand.
Jyre misses with a few strikes there.
Sin ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jyre moves away.
Jyre looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Jyre throws a hook but Sin avoids it easily.

Sin feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Sin keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Jyre's head.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Sin's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Jyre is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Sin makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Sin.
Jyre wants to stand but Sin has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Sin is pulling down on Jyre's head. It's preventing any offense from Jyre, at least for the moment.

Jyre drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jyre jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Sin looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Jyre is trying is best to control the position here.

Jyre is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Sin pulls his head out easily.
Sin seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jyre does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Sin seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Jyre has hold of Sin's hands but Sin slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Jyre has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The fighters are battling for position here. Jyre manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Jyre has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Jyre is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Lee Sin dominated that second round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


A punch combination from Jyre misses.
Jyre pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Sin back to the cage. Jyre follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Besy Jyre is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Sin closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Jyre did well to prevent Sin getting side control.
Lee Sin overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Sin has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Jyre is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Lee Sin showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Sin, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
