The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Doolittle looks to score with a jab to the body but Fiddlesticks is just out of range.
Fiddlesticks has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Fiddlesticks is looking to stand up but Doolittle isn't so interested in that idea.

Fiddlesticks tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Doolittle smiles and moves away.
Fiddlesticks shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Doolittle sprawls well. Doolittle wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Fiddlesticks gets slowly back to his feet.
Doctor Doolittle has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ramses Fiddlesticks.

Fiddlesticks is fighting off a takedown attempt but Doolittle is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Fiddlesticks to the mat. Fiddlesticks regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Doolittle seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Fiddlesticks for as long as he can get away with.
Doolittle has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
