Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Doyle (ranked 1140 p4p, 127 weight class) and Kuroda Atsushii (ranked 625 p4p, 71 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jimmy Doyle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kuroda Atsushii!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Sam Margolis and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Atsushii throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Good leg kick by Doyle there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Atsushii has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Doyle.
Doyle throws a hook but Atsushii avoids it easily.
Atsushii tries to clinch but Doyle moves out of range.
Atsushii ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
A big right from Doyle misses.
Atsushii scores with a leg kick.
Doyle lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Atsushii on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Doyle throws a hook but Atsushii avoids it easily.
Jimmy Doyle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Atsushii wants to lay and pray for a moment but Doyle keeps working.
Atsushii is controlling the pace.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Atsushii wants to control but Doyle is keeping him busy.

That was a close round but I would say that Jimmy Doyle will probably get the nod.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Atsushii creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Atsushii will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Atsushii avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Doyle fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Doyle fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Atsushii.

Jimmy Doyle is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Atsushii throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Doyle was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Doyle scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Atsushii doesn't seem bothered though.
Kuroda Atsushii has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Atsushii's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

Doyle uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Atsushii.
Doyle lands with a hook. Atsushii tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Crunch! Doyle slams his shin into Atsushii's torso.

Atsushii throws a head kick but Doyle moves out of range.
Atsushii shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Doyle smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Doyle moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.


Atsushii is rocked!
Doyle connects with a looping right hand.
Atsushii is still on wobbly legs! Can Doyle finish him?
Doyle is stalking Atsushii. Atsushii circles to his left. Keeps circling left. Bam! Straight right from Doyle, and it's lights out! Atsushii really payed the price for that rookie mistake.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:15 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jimmy Doyle!
Jimmy Doyle decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
