Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Luiz Franca (ranked 892 p4p, 119 weight class) and Latrobe Arundel (ranked 2725 p4p, 325 weight class). Franca comes to the ring accompanied by The Greatest Showman. Arundel is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Shook Ones. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arundel goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Franca seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Franca decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Franca is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Arundel is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Franca works to advance to full mount. Arundel defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Franca is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Arundel has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Arundel!
Franca tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Franca working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Arundel doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Arundel manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Franca is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Franca pushes a forearm under Arundel's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Arundel is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

In his post fight interview, Luiz Franca started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
