Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Robin Gracie (ranked 1489 p4p, 161 weight class) and Shawn Arteezy (ranked 2607 p4p, 237 weight class). Gracie kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Olha a Explosão. Robin Gracie could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Shawn Arteezy's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arteezy has a takedown stuffed.
Gracie uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Arteezy.
Arteezy fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Arteezy shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Gracie but Gracie pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Gracie has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Yaw-Yan Ardigma in the buildup to the fight.
Robin Gracie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shawn Arteezy.
A slow jab from Gracie misses its intended target.
Arteezy throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Gracie sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Arteezy has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Arteezy throws out a loose jab but Gracie uses good head movement to avoid it.
Arteezy throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Arteezy is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Gracie.
Gracie feinted with a counter takedown.

Arteezy gets caught flat footed, as Gracie shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Gracie forces his way into half guard.

Gracie seems to be looking for submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Arteezy is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Arteezy wants to control the action here but instead Gracie manages to pass to full mount!

Gracie is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Arteezy to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Arteezy shrugs it off.
Arteezy sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Arteezy looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Gracie pushes past his half guard into mount!

Arteezy tries to improve his position but Gracie has taken his back! Gracie has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Arteezy tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Gracie pushes Arteezy away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
