We've been hearing reports that Riverson has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Randy lands a vicious elbow to the side of Riverson's head that scrambles his senses and sends him wobbling down to the canvas! Randy tries to finish him with strikes but Riverson still seems able to defend himself so Randy steps back and lets Riverson get back to his feet - he wants no part of the ground game.
Randy has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Riverson is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Randy throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Randy moves in close and cracks Riverson with a massive right hand! Riverson, frozen momentarily in time, tumbles to the canvas, already out cold! A brutal knockout by Randy!

Macho Randy was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
